Cotton Spoonk Acupressure Massage Mat Review

When I was asked to do a review on the Cotton Spoonk Acupressure Massage Mat I was caught between a pickle because when I write reviews on products I always try the provide the pro’s and con’s of every product. However, there are times when I get a product to review that im really blown away because I’m unable find any issues or reasons to improve or change certain things about it.

That’s why the Spoonk Acupressure Massage Mat is one of these products, and was one of my favorite products to review this year….

When I received the mat and I opened it immediately to give it a test run. Within 5 minutes of laying on the mat,  I felt my blood circulation improving and   started relieving the muscle tension in my back.  it has also reduced my back, neck, hip, and joint pain.

The acupressure mat is based on the principles of acupressure and Japanese Shiatsu massage, and the spikes stimulate specific reflex points on the body, which are said to “release blocked energy, ease tense muscles and create deep mental and physical relaxation”.

The mats were recently named the “Best Alternative Remedy” for pain relief by Dr. Oz, and the head coach for the U.S. Olympic triathlon team, Humberto Olivo, says he uses the Spoonk after hard training sessions and recommends it to all his athletes.
Its recommended to lay on the mat for 35-45 minutes but I have used it sitting down in front of my computer and it has made a big change. I feel more relax and with more energy.

All in all my experience with the Spoonk Acupressure Mat has been a good one. Lately, I’ve been doing a lot of yard work in addition to my usual landscaping projects which has physically taken a toll on my back. I’m not one to use pain relievers such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen unless truly necessary.

It’s half because I really don’t like the feeling of swallowing pills and half because I’d prefer not to put anything in my body if I can ride out the pain. When the Spoonk Mat came I was so happy for a natural alternative. I couldn’t wait to try it out on my aching back muscles.

What Customers Are Saying About The Spoonk Acupressure Mat

Cindy

Honestly, the spikes feel good on my back. The mat creates a good kind of pressure, along with a small amount of heat from blood flow. It’s not the same amount of heat from a heating pad, but the pressure in addition to the heat is a wonderful combination. Plus, I don’t have to swallow a pill or plug in anything.

Taylor:

“I like to use the mat while lying in bed. The spikes don’t bother my back one bit. I thought I would have a harder time but I can lay on the mat and truly relax. I haven’t tried the mat without clothing yet so I can’t speak to that. I will say though that I do have a harder time standing on the mat than laying on it. I think the weight of my entire body resting on my feet while on the mat will take some more time to get used to.”

Mike

“I don’t use the mat in any kind of spiritual way. I use it purely on a physical level. And so far so good. I have yet to use it on my face for a headache, but it’s something I will give a try when the time comes.”
